This is a great movie, im a huge fan of Robert De Niro and this film does not disappoint.
De Niro plays criminal Nick Wells who is ready to retire and run his legal business, but he is lured out of retirement by his friend and business partner.
The plan is to steal a French sceptre from the customs house, however it breaks 2 of Nicks rules : Always work alone and never operate in the city which you live in.
Great story and acting, with plenty of twists along the way, Edward Norton is also excellent as a young and talented thief.
Under-rated!

I have never understood why this film has got a battering with the critics. I am De Niro's number one fan and own all his movies and I'm first to admit that over the last decade he's done some terrible movies - quanity over quality, but for me, The Score was brilliant. It was superbly acted by De Niro and Brando, but Ed Norton stole the show - he was awesome. I don't agree with the other review saying it is predictable - it's not that obvious. Give this film a go and I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. Very entertaining, none of that Hollywood over the top rubbish, and has a perfect pace to the film. My advice is buy it now!
This film is very cliched, old thief persuaded to come out of retirement for one last job with the new pretender. Basically the performances and screen brilliance of De Niro, Norton and Brando help make this film watchable, otherwise this would just be another film. In truth the script and plot are very predictable, even the final twist you can see coming a mile away.
