Stargate SG-1: Season 9 Box Set (6 Discs)

Great show however now I get picky, the image shows the old bulky packaging which contains multiple DVD boxes per boxset yet when I recieved the boxset it came in a new slim, minimalistic box.

I wanted the old style bulky box so it's consistant with Season 1-7 which I own. Very Disappointed :(

I'm a newbie to SG-1 I only watched it to see Ben Browder but OMG this show is class Season 10 is even better I can't wait to buy it!! :)

Starts off well enough and remains fairly strong all the way through, although the stories do have a sense of "deja vous". It is perhaps somewhat more focused than series 8, so if you watched that, then you will want to watch this one. Bringing in new characters strengthened the series rather than weakening it, in my opinion. Especially Claudia Black, who gives the show much needed life.

Season 9 is a new turn in the stargate story, where the Go'uld threat is no more such a dangorous menace. Instead a more deadly race named the Ori appear in the season to give a more threatening approch to stargate than ever before. This season is worth watching, you will see the new characters interact, a new race become the biggest threat the galaxy has ever seen, and you will get all the fun and excitment that you expect.

Have followed SG1 since the very first episode and have loved every one. Season 9 brings in new team members and at first I wasn't sure if it was going to work, having seen Ben Browder & Claudia Black in their Farscape roles. However, it does!
Keeping true to the "team" theme (mostly) we see the new SG1 form & bond along with a new head of the SGC. Saving the world is an everyday thing and nothing is too tough...or is it?
Looking forward to the season 10 boxset so I can complete the whole series.
