A black educated and succesful woman meets a white low maintenence man and falls in love fighting against most of the high educated black American society clichés.
The acting is lovely and the plot is clever. 1st date movie!

Loved this film! Never heard about it until i stumbled on it on television, then i had to buy it... A must see for anyone in need of a romantic 'pick-me-up' or a romantic at heart. I have no doubt that this film will be recieved greatly to anyone who watches it! xxx

I'd never heard of this film until I watched it!!. A strong cast and solid acting made this film a great watch.

Normally I wouldn't rate films like this highly but this had something about it. A very good movie that held my attention till the very end!.

I had the opportunity to watch the film " something new" I thought that this was a wonderful film that I watched it more than once. I would recommend it to those who love romantic stories.
