heard of the title, never heard of the director. only knew mad mikkelsen as actor. this is a raw movie about small time criminals (pushers) who try to cope with the laws of the big bosses above them: not an easy thing according to this movie. i can imagine this movie becoming kind of a cultmovie (if it isn't yet, since there's been a sequel with mad mikkelsen as lead actor, taking over the business. and since there has been a 2012 remake.
whatever: if you like movies as ill manors or gangster nr 1, the somewhat dirtier stuff, the pusher will please you.

I first watched this film on film 4 in 2006.It was introduced as uncomprimising but nothing prepared me for how good this film realy is.Right from the start your grabbed by the pace and excitement of The Pusher and the action never lets up till the end, forget the fact it has subtitles believe me you wont even notice. If you like action films with a decent story line that is well directed and well acted then this is for you.I pesonally rate this film as one of the best if not THE BEST films of the nineties.
