Cracking thriller with many stand-out scenes, great performances and an excellent way to end the franchise. Although perhaps the handheld approach is sometimes too showy for its own good, and leads to some rather dubious looking CGI effects during the car crashes; the close quarter combat is still excellent, and even a scene which is essentially a man walking around a train station pretending to tie his shoelaces every few seconds is umissable.
BRILLIANT FROM BEGINNING TO END,THE WATERLOO SCENE IS ESPECIALLY GREAT AS ITS FILMED USING HANDHELD CAMS AMONGST REAL COMMUTERS!!!!
AS FAR AS TRILOGYS GO THIS NOW HAS TO BE ONE OF THE BEST!!!!
It's not often you get a film trilogy, and it's even rarer all 3 films are as strong as the other. It's been a while since the second title came out, and if you've forgotten where Jason Bourne left off in the last film, I suggest you dig out the pervious films and watch all 3 at once.
As you would expect from the Bourne series, the action scenes are tense, the plot is fast paced and doesn't drag on and on trying to explain what went on before. If you pay attention to the film, you'll know exactly what's going on and the plot just unfolds in front of you. If you've seen the previous 2 films, I can't recommend this film high enough, and if for some reason you been living under the rock the past decade, go and buy the first 2 films before you watch this, you won't be disappointed.
Last point I would like to make is, I just hope the people who made this film doesn't fall in the trap of trying to extend their franchise an make more of this. It's the perfect end and some things should be left alone.
This is just brilliant, from the first second of the movie till the last, it had me gripped ! It starts where the last Bourne movie ended, with Jason being wounded from the gun shot wound the he got while fighting it out with the asassin in Moscow. The pace of the movie is none flagging. It's one big globe trotting chase. As usual the fights are bone crunching, and director Paul ( Boune Supemecy and United 93 ) Greengrass likes to use the hand held camara, this gives the action a realistic and gritty feel. Also the Bourne movies would not be complete without a car chase, in this movie he turns New Yorks city into a giant Destruction derby! The cat and mouse game in waterloo station is brilliantly edited, as Bourne tries to protect a london based reporter who knows too much about the Treadstone corp from a C.I.A hit squad. But the ending is a classic where Bourne finds out who he is and what happened to him. This is a brilliant and very satifying conclusion to a classic trilogy. In a summer of hit and miss blockbusters this one is the best of them all, and so far the best film of the year.
