i think out of all the early 'disney' classics this film inspires the imagination of youngsters best of all, going to a wonderous place and having a out of this world adventure.
this was one of my favourite films as a child, and it is still entertaining a new generation over '50' years later.
'disney' adds 'magic' to this 'j.m.barry' classic tale.
from 'tinker bell' to the 'ticking' croc' not to mention the
antics at the 'darling' house prior to the journey to 'neverland' ( not forgetting the usual 'disney' style songs )
this is a must-have 'family film' great for all ages, and at this price grab it before it dissapears again.
Magical Disney Classic

Yet another in Disney's platinum special edition series, Peter Pan is the most surprisingly sparse in terms of bonus content - the usual extensive documentaries and classic Walt Disney shows from the original time period is replaced by shorter featurettes available on previous editions and more kids games than ever. A big wastage of disc space is on Disc 2 where the film is repeated AGAIN except with "read along" description (somehow this is different to subtitles)
The film though is as entertaining as ever; annoyingly, the quest for superior film quality leaves some colours looking denser than they should and Hook's once vibrant red coat looking more of a maroon.
Still, if you haven't yet upgraded the film onto next generation video already or if you don't currently own it, a platinum edition is obviously the best way to go for it. It probably won't be rereleased for at least 7 years so go for it!
