This dramatic American action thriller is the latest film from producer Jerry Bruckheimer and director Tony Scott, and stars actors Denzel Washington, Val Kilmer, Paula Patton, Bruce Greenwood, Adam Goldberg and Jim Caviezel.

When a ferry filled with crewmen from the USS Nimitz and their families is blown up in New Orleans, Federal Agent Doug Carlin (Washington) is brought in to help with the investigation. He becomes attached to an experimental FBI surveillance unit that uses spacefolding technology to look back a little over four days into the past. While tracking down the bomber Carlin gets an idea in his head: could they use the device to actually travel back in time and not only prevent the bombing but also the murder of a local woman whose truck was used in the atrocity?

I avoided going to see this at the cinema because it just looked like some more rubbish that hollywood had mashed together to make some quick money, but when it was released i decided to give it a go and watch it and i was pleasantly suprised with what i saw... Denzel Washington was very good and the storyline wasn't really too predictable and kept you on your toes... there was enough good action sequences in the film and overall a definate must have!!!

I watched this movie because Denzel Washington was the lead and I really enjoyed Man On Fire and Inside Man. About half way through the film I started thinking that it was getting a bit far fetched but then (without giving the plot away!) something significant happened and I was suddenly completely sucked in to the film. By the end of it the first thing I wanted to do was watch it again! I would definitely recommend this to anyone who likes Denzel's previous work.

An outrageous idea stunningly well executed, Déjà Vu is a must see for any film fanatic. Once again Washington brings an unrivalled sense of reality to an ambitious but immensely clever plot that will keep you intrigued right till the very end. The suppoting actors thrive off of Washington's brilliance, basking in a superbly storyline. Despite the fact that the film requires your full attention, Tony Scott has created a simply stunning and highly believable film from a slightly incredible concept, and managed to keep the audience involved and believing throughout the entire duration. Well done.

I've come to have new found respect for Tony Scott. More often than not, he manages to blow me away with his frenetic shooting style - it worked best in Man on Fire; less so in Domino, but mainly because I love the former and hate the latter.

It seems the Tony Scott/Denzel Washington success machine is back in town and man, what a way to return to form! I loved Crimson Tide when that hit our screens in 1995, if not for Scott's vision, certainly for Denzel's performance (and Tarantino's script-doctoring of course...)

Deja Vu is an unassuming sci-fi action thriller. The first section plays out like an episode of CSI, (which in itself is cool anyway). Throughout this portion of the film we're introduced to the key players amidst the aftermath of an incident in which many people lose their lives. Washington plays an explosives expert bought in to survey the crime scene and employ his niche knowledge base. He soon becomes involved in what appears to be a separate murder case.

Throughout this portion, there are endless details brought to our attention, be it faces... clothing details... little throwaway things that you notice, but... don't notice, if you know what I mean.

Second segment plays out like a stylish technological thriller. Think Enemy of the State but with more whizzy whooshiness... yeah. This is the part where they explain the technology which you need to concentrate on to enjoy the third part to the full.

The third, and final, section involves Washington using the technology like no-one has before. And this is where you sit back and realise what a slam-dunk of a job, Scott has just played. Suddenly everything makes sense. It was at this point I went from enjoying the movie, to absolutely loving it.

Sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride.
