I thought this would be rubbish and i didn't really like it, but things had changed and when i watched it i thought it was brillant. It was alot better than i thought because it was amazing. It is a great childrens film. Even i like it and i am a secondary boy. Great film. Buy it for your kids.

I must say that as 20 year old this film is still one of my favourite Disney films. I find the story absolutely well written and it remains one of my favourite takes on Robin Hood. The special features included on the disc are adequate enough for the viewers as it is mainly children that will watch this and so all they will require is the film and a couple of games. It is really only the older viewers i.e. me that will look at the making of the film and other such special features.

I feel that anybody who likes disney films should certainly make this part of their collection as it is an absolute classic especially the line "Oh, he's so handsome".

Customer rating: 4 out of 5 stars Short-changed by the rich? This DVD makes me feel so.

Disney has made a slightly better job of this release than past ventures. The highlight has to be the alternative ending which appears with storyboards and rough animation on this disc set to newly-recorded voice work. The menus are nicely animated featuring characters running through the forest and the new digital transfer enhanced for 16x9 TVs makes it better than what I've seen in the past. I would have liked a specific `making of feature which Im sure exists somewhere as part of a for-tv feature. The art gallery offers a whiff of behind the scenes content and its great to see concept, background and character designs but the voice over makes one feel slightly short-changed. Regardless, the film is hardly the keystone of Disneys empire and were lucky to see this re-released with this much effort. A pleasant release which makes the poor feel short-changed by the rich?
