You're invited...
A number of fighters are invited to DOA, an invitational martial arts contest where combatants are then pooled against one another in a knock-out style tournament: the conquered is sent home while the conqueror progresses to the subsequent round.
Four scantily-clad female fighters begin as rivals but consequently find themselves teaming up against an altogether mightier force.....
Check your brains at the door and engage your sense of shameless high-kicking fun: it's the Hollywood interpretation of Tecmo's videogame brawler, Dead or Alive!

Top 100 DVD Reviewer
When fighting contestants are picked at random in the best of their fields, whether it be martial arts, kung fu, robbery or even wrestling - the Dead or Alive competition begins. Like Mortal Kombat gone soft, the chosen contestants must battle it out to rank highest in the race to win a multi-thousand dollar prize. But there is a catch. On this remote island of mild conflict and average fight scenes, Eric Roberts (playing a more pathetic bad guy than The Master in the old Doctor Who Movie) has a "fiendish" plan to rob the final four combatants of their skills with the latest technology to beat an almost living legend martial artist as a test before he sells the technology on for even bigger bucks and profit.
The film is predictable - not the best work of all the stars concerned.
Just awful enough said
