This is such a gr8 film i watched it after my friends were talkin about it, thinkin it was goin to be another predictable chik flik but wow, i was hooked and it had me in tears with sadness laughter and joy, brilliant film!!!
Now, as a film its is great, but when compared to the actual book, written by the wonderful Cecelia Ahern, it starts to become a bit 'iffy'! Cracks start to show! Now dont get me wrong, it is beautifully shot and the cast is great......well apart from why would u hire a Scottish guy to play an Irish guy?.......but anyway, its 50/50 as to whether the people who have read the book actually fully like the film, as in places the film doesnt stay true to the original story!
I actually did buy this on dvd, coz it is a good film when u sit back and look at it as just a film, and dont link it to anythin, but u cant escape the fact there are gaps! I love Hilarie Swank, shes a great actress and Gerard Butler is one hell of a piece of eye candy ladies *wink* and the pair of them work great together, its a shame they couldnt fit more of the book into the film! But watch it anyway, I recommend it as a film!
Brilliant

I've read the book and was really excited when i heard the film being released but i felt really let down to be honest. The film didnt have much to do with the film the book was a bit more in depth. A good chick flick though i did enjoy it. Just dont read the book first. Lol :)
lovely

Nowhere near as good as the book, but a truly sweet film all the same. Maybe a bit miscast though.
And to the person below, that didnt he leave him scottish because he is irish in the book berk

This film is twee, quirky (in a bad way) and so desperate to make you cry that it becomes almost ridiculous. Neither lead actor is particulary charismatic and as for the key premise of the film? Urgh! A man writes letters telling a woman how to move on after he dies? Please! Oh...and great as Gerard Butler is...why on earth did they make him Irish? The man sounds like an english guy doing an impression of an american doing an awful Irish accent! He's scottish...why not just leave him as scottish?! I was truly unimpressed.
BUY ME!

This is a lovely girly film,
I myself am a horror - watching male who finds things like hostel and saw extremely amusing, and this made me cry.
Enough said.
Meh.

I didn't really buy the movie for myself. Had a few problems getting the movie however. I didn't receive the film and had to wait 21 days to report it lost. Ordered a replacement and that did arrive within the 3-5 delivery target. First time I have not had a smooth running with Play!
Yeah so what......
