First one was scary, this one is rubbish, chicks are well annoying, not gross, just no right. Just no.

I thought the first hostel film was really good. Different to other horror films and even though it was disgusting and disturbing there was something about it that made me want to watch it again. This film however was a huge dissapointment. The story line was rubbish, the acting was awful and can I just add.. .. am I the only person who thinks that killing a child is going a little bit too far? Fair enough kill women but killing a child and showing you his dead body is just awful and in bad taste. I wish i hadn't bothered buying this film now.. .. so if you're really desperate to see it borrow it from a friend or rent it, you wont want to keep it in your DVD collection

I thought the first one was pretty good, so i thought i would give the second the benift of the doubt....wish i hadn't!
The film dosn't really have any story line and the acting is rubbish, glad i didn't buy it.

The first one rocked everyone and it wassuccesful
The second however didn't do very well because it leaked out over the internet before its official release!
Hostel 2 goes deeper into the terror and suspense and cosides with the first one with the storyline. However this time the violence is aimed at women...which adds to al the better...Hostel Part 2 is an upgrade from the first however the lack in story change makes me take it down one star!!

This film is very similar to the first, however its main characters are women and its not quite as good simpily becuase the deaths are not as harsh.

This is more of the same as the original, but slightly more disturbing !
The reason behind this is simple, the victims this time are women ! This may seem a no brainer of a sequel , but actually it's better than the first. The characters are better written and you get to see the clients side of things, as the victims are bid for on line. The plot set up is identical to the first, but these new angles in the film are more satisfying. Don't get me wrong, this film is still a shallow excuse for Director Roth to live out his darkest fantasies on the screen. But the overall effect is darker, and the final pay off is more rewarding as the surviving member gets her ultimate revenge on the would-be killer.
This is no classic, but a more astute and subversive film to the original. Try before you buy !

Overall I really enjoyed this, although it's not a touch on the original it does do it's job as a 'part 2'. I won't go into details but this is a different take on the formula of Hostel as it focuses more on the flip side of the Elite Hunting coin. Mainly the 2 American businessmen on their way to quench their bloodlust. Which I think is the only real reason this movie was ever made.

Good eye candy and worth a look if you enjoyed Hostel.

I'm going to come all out, Hostel (1) was the worst film ever i'm still not a fan of it at all.
It just seem to lack everything, so i thought i'd buy hostel 2 anyhow to see what it was like as i had the first and well i was shocked it was a major inprovement on the 1st. more gore, more everything had such a better story to. You don't really need to see the first to like this movie, although you should as some bits may need explaining but otherwise buy the 2nd not the first!

Though they probably will i hope they dont make a 3rd hostel movie. this movie is ok only because of the nasty scnes but the storyline was, well there wasnt one. the scene towards the end will make every guy scream & jump out of their seats. maybes just worth renting this movie

How can people call this a great film, or even good for that matter. Comapred to hostel 1, this was just a big pile of mess, yes there were a FEW nasty scenes, but that was all, no thought went into the story line at all. This movie is basically a rushed out sequel, why people like this film, i dont know!
