Hot Rod

I had never heard of Hot Rod until a friend of mine forced me to watch it. Immediately HAD to go buy it as it's definitely one for the collection. If you liked Napoleon Dynamite then this is a must have, if you didn't like napoleon Dynamite then watch this as its better!!!

we all love hot rod, bought this movie watched it then gave it my loaned it to my son to watch at uni with his mates, never got it back as they often watch it. they even know all the quotes. amazing movie.

Agreed completely with a previous post not some people's cup of tea, but this is a brilliant film. From first minute to last absolutely hilarious.

One of my friends told me about this movie a few years ago, and I never got round to watching it till recently. Absolutely fantastic, suits my sense of humour perfectly.
Hard to describe what it is similar to, but think Van Wilder/Old Skool/Semi Pro.

Brialliantly funny film by the lonely island... perhaps not everyones cup of tea, but if you love the SNL team - Lonely Island, You'll love their movie!!!

Hot Hod is one of the most ludicrously insane comedies of 2007, and very much reminded of the crazy humour of 1992's Wayne's World. The situations of the wanna-be stunt man, and the resulting bone crunching and side splitting miss-adventures is a guilty pleasure. The stand out moments have to be the extended falling down a hill, and the "Cool Beans" rap. The film also offers some gloriously bad 80's soft Rock, that only add to one of the most off the wall comedies, and underrated films of 2007. Of course some of the jokes don't always work, but with so many on offer, and so many that score a bullseye the hit to miss ratio is way ahead of the curve. If you liked Anchorman, Wayne's World, then you will love this.

Hot Rod seems very much like marmite, people either love it or hate it. If you're into thsi type of comedy then you'll laugh throughout this film harder than you've ever laughed before, if you think you're too sophisticated for this film then don't watch it, for the rest of you it's one of the funniest films you'll ever see.
