When two innocent victims discover the blood drained corpse of a missing friend in Dracula's castle necropolis, the flesh-creeping horror begins. Christopher Lee, the definitive Count Dracula to British film fans, portrays both the creature's essential power and evil and his sexual and magnetic appeal, in a script which stems directly from the original Bram Stoker novel.

Ugh. Poor entry in Hammer's Dracula series

(Horror of) Dracula, Brides of Dracula, Dracula Prince of Darkness, Dracula Has Risen from the Grave, Taste the Blood of Dracula - all classic horrors from Hammer Studios. This one is the first dud in the series, however. Production values are poor, and Christopher Lee is looking rather weary. A strong hero along the lines of Peter Cushing's Van Helsing or Andrew Keir's Father Sandor is lacking. What a bore!
