This set contains 3 of the better Chuck Norris films. Granted Chuck is not Olivier and none of these films ever reaches the heights of a Kubrick or David Lean film but hey, sometimes its great to sit back with a beer and watch some classic 80s carnage.

If you like the 80s Schwarzenegger or Stallone action films then this is right up your street. Granted Chuck's films didn't have the budget to match Sly or Arnie but thats half the fun. Most Chuck films were released straight to video in the UK and whilst there were some stinkers, this set isn't half bad. Missing in Action 1 and 2 are similar to Rambo (vietnam veteran goes back to revenge the murders of his fellow prisoners) whilst The Delta Force is a blatant piece of anti-arab propoganda that is pure action (i believe it was Cannon films biggest earner). WHat is even more strange is that Delta Force is (very) loosely based on a real incident.

Note that these films are certainly not politically correct and are very much of their time, so if you are easily offended then you have been warned. However if you spent your youth in the video shop watching those early Van Damme action films then you may enjoy these, they are what the term 'guilty pleasure' was meant for.

The one thing that confuses me is that there is actually a Missing in Action III, so i'm a little surprised its not in this set. Chuck is also in Delta Force 2 but again, for some reason that's only available seperately.

Still, this triple pack will appeal to those old enough to remember taking 'pot luck' and renting out unheard of action films from the video shop 20 years ago. Most of them were terrible but occasionally we got lucky and found little gems like these three.
