what on earth were disney thinking when they cooked up the first one.

all the voices are computer modified to hit the right pitch & its just a really bad story.

Compare it too original musicals such as: Wicked, Phantom Of The Opera, Avenue Q, Monty Pythons Spam-a-Lot.

This Film Is Shouldnt Be Classed as a musical & should not be introduced to the public

i had to watch this, just to see what all the fuss was about and it was nothing more than a few teenagers trying to sing (and singing poorly i may add), i wouldn't even reccomend this to someone who was 7 years old, there was some uterly stupid romance in it and and i've already mentioned the sining gets on your nerves and the worst part is the price, i'm not talking about £11.99, the actual retailprice is £16 !!, no joke, so if you want to buy a dvd where all it is, is a few teen ages singing and a cheesy romance story then go ahead and buy it , if not stay WELL BACK and don't buy this.

What is wrong with people this was the worst film i have ever seen. One of the cheesiest films i have ever seen the acting was disgraceful the songs were rubbish and i have to hear vanessa hudgens' fake laugh ever again i might just commit suicide.
This film is for pre teen little girls or for teenage girls that have nothing better to do other than watch disney films.
Seriously if you want a disney musical Watch the first one

What is wrong with people these days

Ok, so it may be cheesy as was the first film but that doesn't mean it is not fantastic! I am a mother of three children aged between 5 and 13 and as a family we all love it. The songs are great, the acting is great and at 34 years of age even I'm hooked! Kenny Ortega is a fantastic Director and this film is just great. I actually prefer the songs in HSM2 more than HSM1. So if you want something to watch that makes you feel good, gets you signing and dancing and is suitable for all then this is definately the film for you! Probably the best feel good film of the century! oh and this is a film you can watch over and over again so it's well worth the money.

it deserves nothing less than five stars if you understand the nature of the film. HSM2 isnt designed to be a serious film, so people need to stop judging it by those standards. it is incredibly cheesy and tongue in cheek, but thats the appaeal. its upbeat, colourful, fun-loving and happy, and theres no harm in enjoying it on a rainy day. ok so disney have bled the HSM franchise dry marketing every possible piece of merchandise they can, but so what! the film makes the light-hearted of us laugh, sing and dance, and with a better soundtrack than the first one, cant be faulted. i bought this for my baby sis, and being an 18 year old bloke, am comfortable enough with myself to say i love it also. i think a number of people claiming in reviews they hated this film, are just to insecure to admit that it made them smile.
