- The 'Making Of'
Meet Charlie, the Deputy Manager at the luxury five-star Hotel Babylon. Ambitious, charming and handsome, Charlie is our guide to this world of fantasy and indulgence, a world where you can be who you want to be - as long as you have the money to pay for it... and know who to ask!
While the guests see the ice-cool, smooth service of a professional team - we get to see the affairs, skullduggery and rivalries behind the Staff Only doors. From glamorous General Manager Rebecca who runs a fantastic business, but can't stop her marriage crumbling; Tony the concierge who can get you anything, from anywhere; beautiful receptionist Anna with an eye for a wealthy and eligible guest; Head of Housekeeping Jackie, whose chambermaids have seen it all, to Charlie, on the way up but with a shady past that could see him crash down even faster - all have their own stories...
As self-indulgent rock stars, foreign millionaires, hotel inspectors, long-stay eccentrics, high-class hookers and competition winners fill the luxury suites, these are the staff who drive their rollercoaster of hedonism and excess around the clock - always with the utmost discretion.
So check in and follow the passion, tears, adventures and shocks behind the sheer decadence, plastic smiles and glittering chandeliers.

This series is an absolute hoot to watch. If you're either a comedy fan or someone in the trade then you can't fail to be highly amused and enjoy it. It's rather like "Yes Minister" is to the British Civil Service, "Father Ted" is to the Catholic clergy or "Cheers" is to US bars. There are some realistic characters as indeed you need for a good series of any sort. It's slick and the plot broadly goes only as far as what's happening on the day in the episode but so enjoyable nevertheless. I'm not a particular comedy fan but must rate it a 5* alongside all the other comedy series' I've mentioned. Series two seems so far to be just as good too.
Great Escapism!

I'm not sure how true to life this is but this is just a glitzy, glam, funny DVD, it also features the lovely Max Beesley so it's got everything a girl wants!
So lightweight it's likely to float away.

Style over substance but great fun. Switch your brain off and just dig it
