I found out about "Nin Nin" from my buddy Takashi who used to lend me japanese comics in college. Everyone in Japan loves this film, as it's the cinematic adaptation of Fujito Fujio's surreal Ninja Hattori-kun graphic novel. Mention you've seen "Nin Nin" to any Japanese person and you'll have an instant connection.
The film is fast paced, and full of fun and mysterious characters, each with a lighter side to their Japanese sternness. It blends the ancient way of the mountain ninjas with the ultra-modernity of today's Tokyo, with beautiful cinematography, faithful to the original graphic novel and features an all-star cast.
