( Iris is in love with a man who is about to marry another woman. Across the globe, Amanda realizes the man she lives with has been unfaithful. Two women who have never met and live 6000 miles apart, find themselves in the exact same place. They meet online at a home exchange website and impulsively switch homes for the holiday. Iris moves into Amanda's L.A. house in sunny California as Amanda arrives in the snow covered English countryside. Shortly after arriving at their destinations, both women find the last thing either wants or expects: a new romance. Amanda is charmed by Iris' handsome brother Graham and Iris, with inspiration provided by legendary screenwriter Arthur, mends her heart when she meets film composer Miles.

If you're the one who likes romance and likes crying a bit during a movie, then you'll love this. Cameron Diaz and Kate Winslet were great.

i loved this film although it was a lil depressing for a singleton like me :(, i should of really watch this film around christmas but it just shows there is old fashioned romance stil around even if it doesnt seem like it :) such a lovely film and very romantic :).

I appreciate that not everyone has the same taste, and it would be a very strange world if we did, but I reckon this film is pure genius.!
Has comedy, romance, tear-factor, and Eli Wallach was brilliant!Jude Law was gorrrgeous, Cameron Diaz has that voice to die for, and the brill Jack and Kate! And if that wasn't enough, the soundtrack is beautiful...
