I can't say it was the best film I'd ever watched as these kind of films aren't normally my thing, but for a few quid it was worth it,

This film is just great i was looking for it for ages and I finally decided to buy it on-line, great price, the film has many different aspects of it, there's the obvious thriller that it is, it has very funny parts and also bits that will make you jump, well worth it.

This film had all the elements required for an enjoyable viewing. It was tense, it was realistic, it had humor and Shia Lebeouf is absolutely brilliant. He portrays his character perfectly. The storyline has no flaw and it completely kept me on edge throughout the entire film.
If you like Shia Lebeouf, chillers and interesting characters then this is perfect for you.

This film is not what you expected but definately a good watch. A murderer, a tagged teen and the girl next door all mix together well to bring you an amazing film.

 AWESOME REMAKE OF REAR WINDOW

Years ago "Rear Window" was seen as a classic but i feel this is a remake that was finally done well for this type of film that did Alfred Hitchcock justice. Shia LeBeouf is a good up and coming actor that has come a long way since his first appearance on screen and provides a good performance as a troubled teen who is under house arrest and becomes suspicious of his next door neighbour who lures home and kills young women. Its an awesome psychological thriller that i can watch over and over. Enjoy

 guilty by spying

the take-off is quite remarkable and rather unusual.
what follows is an adolescent's personal detective story that begins very unsuspicious and even funny but gets more and more agressive as the story unfolds. although the end may be a bit predictable, the story keeps catching your attention.
'disturbia' is certainly better than the average movie in this genre, and shia leboeuf gives a convincing performance. worth seeing.

A post-modern rear window with style

Rear window is one of my top five films, so when I heard of this, I wanted to hate it.

I know alot of people on this are younger than me so they may not appreciate the above statement, however, I expected it to be nothing more of a dumming down, action packed version of the classic. Yet despite my naive prior judgement, I was more than pleasantly surprised by this film. It is intelligent, well planned, well filmed, filled with suspense and unique in its portrayal of young America. Only the premise of the film relates to rear window, and not in a bad way!

Shia is fantastic, absolutely fantastic in this role. He adds depth in a realistic way, and the film never goes too far in its ambition. It is not simply a remake, it's a realistic modernisation made thoroughly entertaining by the fantastic Aaron Yoo who is hilarious and likeable. The girl who plays Ashley is stunning, alot more useful than many of the women in these sorts of films and incredibly likeable despite her amazing figure and perfect face.

The film is filled with suspense, but unlike many films it is a watch it again type of movie. After watching this I completely changed my opinion of Shia LaBeouf, making an awful lot of films easier to watch, and will certainly be more wary when I see my neighbour's curtains twitching.
