I loved this dvd boxset, first time i have ever watched Ugly Betty and loved it, thought some parts were so funny and enjoyable to watch. Cant wait to watch series 2.
Ugly Betty Series 1 is one of the best series I've seen on British TV. Each episode is packed with well written stories and ontop of all that the comedy comes fast and often.
Betty is a girl with more inside beauty than out but manages to make her way into the most superficial and beauty built industry in the world, Fashion. Betty goes through a lot in the series, but manges to make the whole industry see that beauty is more than just skin deep.
Throughout the series almost every character goes through a changing process, every character has scenes which'll make you laugh and nearly every character has scenes which'll make you cry.
Ugly Betty really is the complete package, its a show which'll make you laugh and make you cry, it'll make you think and help you to unwind.
It's brilliantly written and without a doubt will change the way you look at the world, as well as bringing some extra happiness to your life.
So everyone out there...

This show is just amazing ! It's full of great storylines that don't drag out, extremely good humour, great characters and really make you feel for all the characters. This show is a must to see ! The only slight problem is watch out for the dvd region 2, whenever anyone says "fashion tv" it beeps and it can ruin the scene and become a bit annoying at times and the only other problem watch out for the first disk as they dvd has swtiched ep 2 and 3 the wrong way round.
