oh my wow..this is the best show ever..Betty (America Ferrera) is a great roal model..but maby not for her fashion sence, but she is because she loves who she is, is a great person who puts others first and dosnt get put down by what other perple think of her..overall i think this a a great show and a must see

Keeps me laughing for hours! I always say to my self okay just one more episode and end up watching the whole series again. Cant wait until series 2 comes out!

never got in to this when it was showing on ch4 - but caught one episode and watched it all the way thought the reaction was - shopped on play.com and ordered it the next day!

This is a totally fantastic programme, I love all the characters especially Betty's family. This is just the film Devil Wears Prada minus the makeover and the really evil boss (Daniel is quite sweet after the first few episodes and is truely GORGEOUS)

Yes yes yes the beeping is annoying and when you play all its out of sequence but !!!! wyh should that bother you when we all love Betty , Daniel , Mark etc etc just watch it and forget the beeping , Excellent

I loved this programme on Channel 4 so much I went out and bought the DVD. Marc and Amanda's friendship is so funny. Only one thing that annoyed me about the DVD is that when it says 'Fashion TV' it bleeps but don't let that put you off buying this DVD.

What can i say. Its amazing. From the first episode your glued into the life of Mode and what happens. The life of all characters are showed throughout the series. From Alexis being a man,from Daniel's sex obsession, from Wilhelmina's constant effort to overtaking the meades and running Mode. Its funny throughout and worth buying. Some scenes stick in your head as a constant reminder of how amazing this show is. Mine is when Marc and Wilhelmina fight on the stairs. Hilarious. So its a must have. You wont be disappointed.

First of all i too suffer from the annoying beeping whenever Fashion TV is mentioned. all to do with copyright or so im told. Secondly the DVD does not play the series in order. For example. When you select play all on the first disc it plays episode 1, followed by Episode 3 and then it jumps back to episode 2 and then skips forward to episode 4.

This is one of the funniest light hearted shows on TV at the moment. You can't fail to be cheered by the over the top villainy and story lines. Everything has such a bright cartoon like quality and America Ferrara quite rightly steals the show although Marc and Amanda deserve their own spinoff.
The only reason I can't give it top marks on DVD is that Disney have censored all Region 2 discs, removing the spoken words 'Fashion TV'. Considering this show pops up all the time in the programme its criminal that the words are bleeped out! Its annoying when your listening to the dialogue and then BEEP. Its apparently to avoid copyright conflict in European markets as there is a French cable tv show called 'Fashion TV'.
However you will note that no-where on the packaging does it say you are buying a censored dvd before you part with the best part of 30 quid. I queried this with Disney, who supposedly went away and investigated and then told me to return to the retailer which I naively have done then to discover the real truth on the internet.
My advice is to ring the enquiry line given on the back of the packaging and complain.
Why should UK fans be treated to such a substandard product?? We should be demanding censor free dvds.

Even from the teasers on TV i knew i'd love this, and it is very love it or hate it.
I was originally interested because the adverts looked very 'Devil wears Prada'-ish, but although the main characters in both films are portrayed in the same way, Betty is far more hilarious and fun too watch. The fact that Betty is Ugly is far from what the story is about, her background and complete lack of fashion knowledge is what really makes this enjoyable.
