Twenty Bucks is the story of a $20 bill, from its birth at an ATM to its final shredding at the bank, and the lives it touches along the way. Among those passing the buck are a prophetic bag lady (Linda Hung, The Year of Living Dangerously), an about-to-marry-rich working stiff (Brendan Fraser, The Mummy), a New Age witch (Gladys Knight), a struggling writer (Elisabeth Shue, Leaving Las Vegas), a distracted cop (William H. Macy, The Cooler), a well-mannered stick-up artist (Christopher Lloyd, The Addams Family) and a hot-headed conman (Steve Buscemi, Big Fish). And while they may be strangers to each other, they do have one thing in common. When they passed the buck, they never expected change.

When you spend a 20 note, where does it go? where did it come from? who had it before and what was it used for? In Twenty Bucks the story follows a number of people whose lives come into contact through the transfer of currency. You see a number of different stories taking place, all the way from a homeless woman, to newly weds, on to criminals. The movies shows you the lives of different people and different situations. The stories all have their own uniqueness, however some are better than others; some could've even made a movie entirely on their own. It's an entertaining movie, and the idea of a single 20 dollar note connecting all these people is a unique and special idea. However, the movie lacks depth, it entertains but it doesn't have anything more. Well worth watching, not time wasted.
