if you can stand the irritating character that has the leading role in this series, you're hooked for the same witty jokes, more celebreties who are ready to make a fool of themselves (that harry potter boy!!!), and a lot of very funny stuff.
what will they come up with next?
Good Series

Really liked this series. Generally I found the first series more cosistantly funny but there are some parts of the second series that had me doubling over with laughter. Through this series you see Andy on his sitcom where he has to choose between his professional life and his personal life which at times leave you feeling sorry for Maggy. But as ever the stars never fail to mock themselves. The Daniel Radcliffe episode is hillarious throughout and the Chegwin episode is one of my favourites. So overall, if you liked the first series, you'll love this one too...
So Funny

I don't often watch series again and again but I make an exception with the Office and Extras.
The guys are definitely improving with each series. Gervais's has mastered the art of comedic faces. Barry is superb in his part. Most of the cameos are spot on as well.
The "extras" are also very funny with some great outtakes.
Pure gold.

Awesome. The second season beats the first season. Both are excellent. The episode with David Bowie is incredible....so so funny. The best one is the Daniel Radcliffe!! If you have a spare fiver, get this. Its sheer comedy.
EVEN BETTER THAN SERIES ONE.

This is an absolute steal for £4.99. Great throughout... the out takes will have you laughing your socks off. Ricky Gervais and stephen merchant are brilliant, o yeah and who can forget Barry from Eastenders... lol.
Just as good, if even better than series one, Extras series 2 is absolute genius!
With such stars as David Bowie (the song he writes about Gervais' character made my sides hurt), Ronnie Corbet, and even Robert Deniro, Gervais and merchant have got themselves a brilliant foundation for cringeable comedy. With all the stars happily taking the mick out of themselves in each episode, heightened by the fact that Andy Milman is a sad, failing actor, there is no doubt this delivers.
At times it is also heavy on the pathos, giving insights into some people's lives. This is what i think a good comedy has to have.
Therefore this easily gets 5 stars as it does all of this, and more

Just as good as Series 1. Andys sitcom "When The Whistle Blows" is now in production, so even more laughs are guaranteed. His agent cant even remember the name of the it (when the wind blows? wind in the willows?), Cheggers is struggling to remember his lines & characters name and Barry from eastenders gets excited by a novelty pen. Robert De Niro, Orlando Bloom and Daniel Radcliffe all appear in the 2nd series of this hilarious sitcom. Genius!

Wickedly funny. Ricky Gervais, as always, gives a masterly performance - hard to know where Ricky begins and Alam Milman ends. The star for me, however, is Stephen Merchant. What a brilliant character! The cleverest thing is that the more you watch it, the funnier it gets. Also, it draws you into the fictional sitcom "When the Whistle Blows", making you want to see more. Wonderful cameos from all the stars, especially Keith Chegwin who merits cult status in my book, for shattering our perception of him. Great DVD.
