An interesting series, thought provoking and disturbing. I think that some of the situations and storylines are uncomfortable, in that the this is fiction now. Some of the episodes/scenes provoke the thought that they could become reality. And some are just wild entertainment and a stretch to implausability. Not forgetting to pack this into a watchable 45 mins, some things have to be taken at face value and at the end of the day it is just television!

I love spooks, and have all series on DVD - I love this series with Ros as I think her and Adam work well together. But I am sad to learn that series 7 which is broadcasted in Autumn 08 will be Rupert Penry-Jones' (Adam's) last series. I dont think anyone will be able to replace him!!!!!

I loved Series 4, but this has surely been one of the best years of Spooks in a while, Ros is a great character, and Adams emotional problems continue even further. Unfortunately Jo and Zaf remain paper thin, but never mind it's still fantastic entertainment.

This show is great .
Fantastic even .
The character Adam has taken over well from Tom from the first 2 series .
And just like Tom he is having to do his job as well as coping with grief and stress .
He has lost his wife in the line of duty and is bringing up his young son alone .
But just when you think he is down and out .
Game over .
It grabs you and things turn out ok .
I have seen this show from the very first episode back in 2001 or 2002 and loved it from the start .
Keep it up BBC , your good at this sort of thing .

The thing I love about Spooks is its incredible ability to second guess the audience. When Spooks 1 aired a few years ago, I was hooked from the first frame. The characters are beautifully portrayed, the scripts are fantastic and the title characters make the show what it is today. I was somewhat sceptical about the writers' decision to kill off two mainstays at the beginning of Spooks 5 (Colin and Juliet), but, as always, Spooks never fails to deliver. This is British drama at its best.

I have watched spooks since series one and have marvelled at the way each series and its characters have developed. I am a massive fan of the show but feel however that the introduction of ros is a backwards step. Her character isnt convincing and her role it seems is to go behind the back of the rest of the team (as was the case in the ruth departure story) Zoe was a much stronger character and Ros i feel is only in the series to keep up the final contingent of the team). I feel that she is a poor character in the series and that some of the story lines are a bit far fetched as well. Zaf, Jo and Adam are brilliant but it was a shame that Ruth had to leave as her role kept the team together. Finally i feel spooks as a whole has slowed down in series 1 and 2 the story lines were very fast and that since tom, danny and zoe have left the writers have taken a new direction with story lines being of a slower pace and feel that with such a genre you need a fast story line to keep the audience on the edge of its seats. I do feel as well that although this is a fantastic drama the writers are starting to run out of story lines. I could however be proven wrong with this in series 6 which will be out later this year.

Customer rating: 5 out of 5 stars As good as 24 but far more believable

Similar to 24 Spooks is amazing and very typically British with a lower budget than it's American counterpart but is fantastically more realistic. I'm a HUGE fan also of 24 but when it comes to realism and believability I think Spooks wins hands down.
This is probably about as realistic a depiction of the activities and lives of MI5 agents as you will see on TV, in the same kind of way that The Bill or Casualty depict those professions. The the plots are always captivating and exhilarating, enticing you to want to watch more. All this makes for great entertainment in my books.

Spooks just goes from stength to stength. Adam is such a brilliant character and it was great that he did not leave after his wifes death. Keep up the good work BBC.
