No need to Hyde this Series

Every series needs at least one bad review but sorry just can't do it. When I first saw the trailer I thought oh no not another repeat of a classic novel. Like Hyde this story has also fully evolved and will be a classic worthy of its predecessor. As to James Nesbitt and cast well you're the reason I even started watching this and true to form never disappointed me only exceeded my expectations.

  Jekyll!!

This series is amazing, one of the best ever, a little complicated at times but thats one of the attractions to it, you want to keep watching it to understand what happens. I can't stress enough how good this is anyone who hasn't seen the series buy this, its quality. James Nesbitt is the ideal actor for the role and plays it so so well. Great storyline which orginated from a book i think, which includes 2 men in onee, kinda. you'll have to watch it. Its good get it.

  Superb drama!

So extreme are the contrasts in his two characters, you'd be forgiven for thinking that James Nesbitt really had an evil twin. The light-hearted asides are deliciously dark and although it is completely fictional, there's an otherworldly quality about this series that niggles in the back of your mind that it could actually happen.

The supporting cast is strong and the dialogue isn't overplayed. If anything it's a little understated.

The BBC drama department is back on cracking form but then Steven Moffat wrote this and he already has the best writing credits for Dr Who under his belt...

  BBC's brilliant Jekyll

The BBC, apart from showing EastEnders which I now can't stand, seem to realise that a lot of people would rather watch good quality dramas, these include Marie Lloyd and Superstorm, and boy did they get it right with this one. This is a fantastic drama and a great new interpretation on the famous Robert Louis Stevenson novel. James Nesbitt is perfect piece of casting as Dr Tom Jackman (if you want to know why its Jackman and not Jekyll buy the DVD and find out for your self, I won't give that one away) and the scary Mr Hyde. This also boasts a great supporting cast which includes Michelle Ryan (Zoe Slater from EastEnders, when it was good) and Meera Syal.

  The Fabulous Jekyll

I have to say that James Nesbitt and the BBC have outdone themselves with this new series, James is brilliant at both Dr Jackman and as Hyde, I love the idea of a subtle change rather than an in your face ugly man who wouldn't be acceptable within society and therefore wouldn't get away with the things that he does. Can't wait to see how it progresses and will definitely be buying the DVD, well done James and well done the BBC.
