Top 10 DVD Reviewer

Packed full of twists, turns and surprises it keeps you on the edge of your seat all the way through. Some people may have a problem with the very American super hero storyline, but hey, nothing is perfect! The acting is superb, the story is nothing short of brilliant, and every other aspect is completely up to the best of Hollywood standards. The only way to view this series is back-to-back so you don't lose the tension and pace it develops.

Heroes 'was' my favourite show of all time... Season 1 although being quite slow to build up (to introduce characters/ set the scene), was absouloutely fantastic. The characters were loveable and each had unique powers, the plot-line worked really well as all the characters developed to a certain degree.

Season 1 is a masterpiece of great acting, writing and special effects, it is a must see and leaves you wanting more. It's a real shame the writers decided to strike mid way through season 2 which meant it was only 11 episodes long (season 1 was 24 episodes) and didn't quite live up to the first series. If you haven't seen Heroes but are a fan of other shows like Prison Break and Lost you will be gripped by Heroes.

The season comes to a great finale, but I wont ruin anything, and there are glipses of the old Heroes in season 2 but overall it is a bit of a let-down after the breath-taking first series.

A must buy if you haven't already seen it. (Season 1 not 2!)

96% (I'm taking 4% away because of season 2!)

Heroes is one of the best TV shows i have seen in a long time. The writing is superb and the actors are amazing. Each episode leaves you wanting more and more, even the season finale! I love the episode "Homecoming", it tied together the major storyline and had some really intense scenes in. SOOO much better than season 2, but that is pretty good too. Buy heroes, you wont be disappointed.

Initally i didnt really get into this show as it has a very slow start. However after watching a good few of them back to back on DVD you start to be drawn into this, characters really develop greatly and the story builds to a great ending. Sadly the second series was not anywhere near as good in quaility as this one, however i do have high hopes for the third series

Is it only me that doesnt get this ??
I'm a great fan of much of the recent US TV series, everything from the Sopranos to Deadwood and 24 but this leaves me cold. I find that I am unsympathetic to the storyline generally (ludicrous) and the characters specifically (usual US stereotypes with the exception of the intensely irritating Japanese duo).
I don't care in the slightest what happens to anyone of them. Leaving aside the fact that most of the 'special people' are of course in the USA (New York mainly - surprise surprise) you would think that if they were so special they could come up with better dialogue than ' I don't want to lose you but I need to know you believe in me' or 'always more questions but never any answers'. Lame - as our american cousins would say.
Doesnt grip me at all. Good price from play.com though.

When I saw Heroes was being sold here at £29.99 I just had to snap it up! I'd waited for what seems ages for the price to move below £45 (wouldnt want to pay that much for it seeing as i had just seen it a few months ago) ... and nearly gave up; instead waiting for it to come out on Blu Ray, even though i dont own a player yet.

Thank you Play.com! Now I can be a even geekier Heroes fan with watching Heroes in my cool Heroes Tees!! :D

This series was amazing. I missed it on FX and was really annoyed. The BBC buying Heroes was a brilliant move, plus I got to see it!
I had avoided purchasing this before as no matter how much I liked it it was still £50, but at this price! I had too. I'm soo grateful to Play for making it affordable.
If you haven't watched it, buy it whilst it's cheap!
And tune into BBC 2 at 9pm thursday night to watch series 2! you will become instantly addicted

:)

best american tv series by far. although far-fetched, the storylines were great, their powers and the acting. I particulalry like Claire jumping off buildings to see if she died and Niki looking in the mirror seeing some one else. Sylar was really scary, Hiro was hilarious and the Petrellis were bit boring, but soon improved by the last episode. Matt, the copper, couldn't really act and Mohinder tried too hard. but the reason why i liked it was because of the special effects and the great twists and turns
