beautiful story, good acting, good western in the narrative tradition. don't expect heroic shoot outs or massive action but a good portion of old western moral, good vs bad ones, revenge, ....

this is the way i'd imagine the west was, well sometimes anyway. great storyline and excellent acting but what would one expect from greta scacchi,thomas haden church and the great robert duvall. there is some shooting but not like some westerns, only when really necessary. duvall is excellent and if you liked lonesome dove well you won't go wrong with this dvd.
