Bookworm or not, this drama based around eight short stories by Steven King will have you well and truly hooked. I watched the first few episodes on TV, and after every episode I was left wanting more. The tales had been so well put together and the atmosphere, actors, and the overall spookiness of the stories made each episode feel like a 40-minute movie. Some of them aren't all that scary, but the ones that aren't still have a storyline that will keep you engrossed and engaged with the characters throughout the tale, and they'll always make you want to keep watching to find out more. The thing is, though, since there are eight different stories and none of them are linked together, you could just pick up this box set at any point and watch a random episode, and there are bound to be some that you'll want to watch again and again.
To add lastability and value to the set, though (which comes in two half-size DVD cases collected together in a box the size of a standard DVD), there are bags of special features, including an interview from a main charcter in each of the episodes, as well as much more.
At the time of writing, this 3-disc-set was just £14.99, a steal when you look at what you get for it. This is a must-buy for horror, short story or Steven King fans, and fans of top-quality drama as well.

when i first saw this on tv i instantly fell in love with it.
it doesnt have all of the excess gore,or constant jumps,but it is destined for cult status.
hopefully stephen king and the shows producers will be considering making a second season because this is just as cool as the twilight zone.
and i want this television programme to get more recognition.
