Customer rating: 2 out of 5 stars Okay... but the Original 1990 Movie is better.

First off, the CGI is amazing. In fact at the time of writing it's flawless. I haven't seen anything better, perhaps some Pixar movie in a few years but right now the detail is incredible.
Now I've got the praise out of the way let's get down to pooping on it. Who the hell wrote the story???!!! The cool thing about the turtles was that they were tough Ninja with attitude. They were four martial arts kicking weird male counterpart to the spicegirls, a turtle for everyone's different personality, and they were up against the 'Foot' and the super hard as nails 'Shredder.' Now, they're thrown up against heaps of evil giant pretty much indestructible creatures made of stone and are thus now about as ass kicking as a bunch of pansies. I could go on about the why I just didn't care about any of it but to sum up - Why oh why did they make this tosh of a story when there is 20 years worth of turtle story lines that could have been used to much better effect.
In Conclusion: For under £5 it's good value and will entertain you for the 90odd mins that you watch it, though my 5yr old nephew likes to watch many dvd's about a gazzillion times and bash my eardrums about how much he loves Kungfu Panda and other equally annoying animated movies but he watched this once, said nothing about it and never put it on again. It's not even fun for kids.
Get the original 1990 Movie with Jim Hensons brilliant costumes instead, or at least get it first, it's much better.

Tmnt is one of the thing's i grew up with from the cartoons to the movies back to the cartoon's again, despite being a children's movie it has a grown up vibe aswell.(probably just me.)
As i have the original three movie's adding this one will make a totally awesome edition dude!

As a tmnt-loving maniac, this movie did not disappoint me in any way possible. Sure, I really wish Donny and Mikey got loads more screen time (their banter is what made the old movies funny) - but this little slippet was more than made up with awesome CGI animation and a terrific soundtrack. You can't go wrong with the old TMNT films, but this new movie has given TMNT a new lease of life, which will give something for old fans to love and bring new fans into the TMNT limelight. So make sure you take the time out to enjoy, dudes and dudettes!

I found it unbelievable that the majority of the reviews on Play for this movie are good. I disagree and think this movie was really mega crap and a waste of my time. I just couldn't wait for it to finish and actually felt relieved to see the credits. The first part of the film was OK but 98% of it was crap. Even most kids will suffer watching this. Avoid at all costs!!!

Awesome!!

I loved this movie! I was so excited when I heard about this, and the more clips I saw; the more and more excited I got. And when I finally got to see this in the cinema, I was sooo excited I could hardly sit still!!

I was a little worried, coz I'm a big TMNT fan and I couldn't stand it if I'd been disppointed. Though my main concern was for Mikey as he's always been my favourite and I didn't want them to screw him up somehow.

To my joy: he's better than ever!!

The Turtles look great! And they move brilliantly too! And the movie itself had a great balance of darkness and lightness, and it felt comic-bookie with all the little jokey comments thrown-in at every turn! Haha!!

I loved every second of this and I really hope they go ahead and make that sequal!

The only thing they could have done better was giving Mikey and Donnie more screen-time.

Later, dudes!

;p

this is a suprising package, it is full of action, and has much humour.
the 'tmnt' brothers team up again and find they have to face an enemy :-
that are about to re-surface after 3,000 years.
not only have they to save 'new york' but the whole planet.
the 'c.g.i. is very well done and makes it an enjoyable
spectacle.
available on 'region 1' now, due on the home site late october, the kids will love it, i suspect a number of grown ups will also enjoy.

I found this film full of action and quite funny. It's good for all ages and it's a nice family film to watch together. I also like it as it's very different to all the other films (in a good way). The only thing i'm dissapointed with, is that i wouldn't want to see it again (not blaming it on film). Other than that, this film can be really enjoyable and funny.

A entertaining film, with all the action and wit as the rest of them, but i think the animation has let this film down...why o why did they have to do that?!
The older films were so much better, and if they hadn't of made this a animated film, my score would be a four star.
worth a look.
