Their mission.... to save the world
Fifty years from now, the sun is dying, and mankind is dying with it. Our last hope: a spaceship and a crew of eight men and women. They carry a device which will breathe new life into the star. But deep into their voyage, out of radio contact with Earth, their mission is starting to unravel. There is an accident, a fatal mistake, and a distress beacon from a spaceship that disappeared seven years earlier. Soon the crew is fighting not only for their lives, but their sanity.

i read the blurb for this film and it looked very good, then i put it on, and it was just talk, talk, talk, i mean where's the action in this?! it's all talk! and it's confusing, one minute a garden is burning and a lady is crying over it, then a guy gets burnt in a gold space suit :S what the?!, anyway, it might just be me, buy it and have a try, i dont want to put people off, but i think it's boring.
Sunshine (2007) - ****
Danny Boyle captures the claustrophobia of Alien masterfully in this clever, disturbing thriller. Chris Evans and Cillian Murphy give great performances as Mace and Capa, two men on board Icarus II, with a mission to save the world. Great use of flash imagery as the crew board the desolate Icarus I, that has been lost for seven years. The faces of the original crew are shown, just for a millisecond, to very unnerving effect. However, the ending is very peculiar and somehow doesn't fit with the rest of the movie. Immensely entertaining all the same, well worth a watch.

personally i never liked Alien. This is not Alien but follows the same ideas and conventions! he wanted to make a sci-fi horror in space! his intentions are clear and defined with true terror. This film scares, shocks and entertains. Its a bit of mystery and love story. shame more people didn't go and watch it because personally its better tahn armageddon!
