this is one of the best films i've seen all year pierce brosnan is absoloutely awesome brilliant brilliant acting from him and neeson is great as well great story and just a great great film

westerns aren't dead yet!
look at 3:10 to yuma, the assassination of jesse james and seraphim falls. three strong and convincing recent western movies.
as in the assassination of jesse james, the action is not the most important thing here. the movie is build around two characters, the hunter and the hunted. dialogue is sparse and mainly functional: the images, the montage, the story speak for themselvesitself and are selfsustaining. both brosnan and neeson al well casted and deliver a great performance, most of the time not face to face, not with what they are saying but with their mere physical/expressional performanse. a class act!
if you're as western'lover', you will like this movie. it's in the tradition of the good old westerns, genre sergio leone.

If you like westerns with a bit of GRIT, Good story and well filmed this is it. Has a gritty atmosphere like Soldier Blue or The Wild Bunch. Although not as violent. Brosnan and Neeson excel great actors. Remember Gangs of New York Neeson and Long Good Friday .Mama Mia and Miss Doubtfire.Brosnan. Not to forget Neeson Batman and Darkman Superb.
