This thoroughly enjoyable feature film, specially made for television, is based upon country superstar Dolly Parton's fictional story song "Blue Valley Songbird". Dolly's musical and acting abilities both shine on this release where her key role as a saloon singer with suppressed ambitions makes for a perfect fit.

The film features Dolly singing many of her all-time favourite hits including Blue Valley Songbird, Wildflowers , I Hope You Are Never Happy and Runaway Feelin. In addition, the film features two songs never included by Dolly on her albums: Angel Band and We Might Be in Love.
