I have bought this dvd allong with Antheas book and for the average "messy" person there are a lot of hints and tips e.g. creating a memory box meaning only keeping things that really mean everything to you not keeping every birthday card you used to get(like me!!).the dvd's are a good visual motivator because you can see bits of other peoples houses and realsie thats exactly what you need to do in yours.
I'm halfway through decluttering my house and considering I thought I didn't have much clutter it's quite hard work but I can see the benefits already.my cleaning takes a lot less time in the rooms decluttered and I have time for more important things. A lot of Anthea's tips I find very useful like sort your post out as soon as it arrives if possible because it will clutter up the house. The DVD's are full of tips like this if you are of average "messyness" then the DVD's are geat go the whole hog and buy the book as well!!

To people of our mother's and grandmother's age most of this stuff is common sense, but we come from a generation of women who have gone out to work and housekeeping has become a chore and something that is done if we absolutely have to and it can no longer be avoided. Anthea offers us amateurs a way to organise ourselves and not see housework as the lowest common denominator in our lives. We all pay a lot for our homes and hope to fill them with lovely things, but running a home is the hardest job in the world and if you don't keep on top of it it becomes overwhelming. Following Anthea's advice, I must now be saving myself hours and hours a week which were normally spent running around looking for things, never being able to find the things I needed (batteries, light bulbs, insurance certificates, you name it I couldn't find it), spending more money buying the things to replace what I couldn't find etc etc etc. Now I try to have a place for everything (my mother used to say that to me, but did I listen!!!). This DVD is a worthwhile purchase if only for the tips, it also does your soul good to know that no matter how untidy your hall was it was still not as bad as the one's on the DVD. So cheers Anthea and I've just pre-ordered series 2!
