This is the best film i've seen in a very long time. I watched it when I was deployed in Afghanistan and the scenes are so realistic. 10/10

I remember this being advertised on channel 4 not so long ago, and unfortunately I missed it, so I was pleased to find it on play.com.
It essentially tells the story of 2 young soldiers, who form a solid relationship despite the bullying and rough attitude of their older, more experienced colleagues. As they settle into life in Iraq, peer pressure causes them to make some regrettable decisions with regard to the local populace.
This is a powerful story, told from an angle that really puts the viewer into our protagonists shoes. Marc Mundan does a fantastic job at stirring emotions, perfect for a war film with little action (this film is not Platoon, think more Jarhead).
I am normally an action fan, but this film really did make me think about the situation in the middle east, and more importantly, the moral decisions UN troops face everyday. My cousin has seen active service in Iraq, and he highly rates this film. Gerard Kearns acting has a haunting quality that is a far cry from shameless, and I think we will be seeing more collaberations between Marc Mundan and Channel 4 in the future.
This is only the 2nd time I have given 5 stars, and for good reason. At a fiver you can't go wrong here- If you fancy a quiet night in, please watch this masterpiece.
