As a film in its own right 'The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen' or LXG for short is a proficiently directed, enjoyable piece of movie entertainment. When taken as an adaptation however things begin to look bleaker. The decision to alter existing characters and add new ones means that Alan Moore's original vision is destroyed. And whilst the production design by Cronenberg-regular Carol Spier is stunning to look at some of the CGI effects are way to obvious. Still recommended as an enjoyable enough way to pass the time, avid fans of the original graphic novels are warned to approach with caution. It'll only end in tears...

Wow. An actually decent film based on a graphic novel, such a rareity these days. Graphics were good for the time, full of one liners, and ive watched it so many times. Definately worth it at this price.
