Evan Almighty is a fresh twist on Bruce Almighty with a different way of "joking with God." It's not as good as it's predecessor but it's still a fun family film, just a little too silly at times. Although I do hold my hands up for anyone who can keep a straight face whilst an aviary of birds is sitting on them pooing. That does skill! I didn't bother going to see this at the cinema, think I'd have been disappointed but for the price this DVD is at the moment, it's very good for a rainy (or flooded) day. The animals make this film quite good for the younger audience.

The film is a good but not as good as Bruce Almighty. My children really enjoyed this film especially the building of the Ark and the way Evan changed so much into Noah. It also told a good and meaningful story line towards Evan and his Family.

I am a fan of jim carrey and really liked the original bruce almighty and was a bit upset when a sequel was made without him.
But steve carell who was fantastic in the first film takes on the lead role fantastically well the film has a great story to it he must build an ark after god (morgan freeman) warn of an impending flood.
The laughs keep on coming in this great little film and as you watch it you soon forget that carrey is actually not in it.
For this price it is well worth buying as it is great fun to watch and steve carell is a great lead in this brilliant comedy.

This is a good adaptation from the creators of bruce almighty! Not as funny as i thought it was going to be but good in some parts! Love the story line! It is a one to watch if your are teaching children about Noah's ark!

I loved it. I've seen quite a few negative reviews and heard bad things about it, but I thought it was very funny, had a good storyline and a great message. Special effects were top of the line as well. Steve Carrel was great, but he didn't quite have the chemistry with Morgan Freeman as Carrey did. Evan Almighty is a good film, just don't go expecting 'Bruce Almighty 2' otherwise you'll be disappointed; it's a completely different type of film.

A fantastic spin off of Bruce almighty, very very very funny. Has a good storyline behind the comedy. Worth watching, and at such a low price worth buying. Children will love it, as will adults!!

Bruce Almighty was okay in my view but not everyone is a fan of rubber faced Carrey so thats what made me worry before buying this film. I have to say that I was pleasently surprised by it. Good fun and Steve Carell is a real enjoyable actor to watch. He does not need slapstick comedy to be funny, unlike Carrey. Some of the final scenes rely on CGI effects which are not the but best but alround this is a great film for both adults and family.

We all enjoyed the film. Better than Bruce Almighty. The Kids loved it. Great value, especially with the Nestle offer. Can't go wrong for a £1 and this movie will be played again and again I'm sure.

I found this film to be both funny and boring the ending is the most interesting part, the beging is the most boring part in the film. The most annoying thing about this is that though out they use cheesie songs, this annoys me because it makes it into a more kid film.
