How I Met Your Mother: Season 1 (3 Discs)

If you are a fan of comedy humour like Friends, this is THE show for you! The characters are so well done and you'll be saying the catch phrases in no time!
As a massive Friends fan for years, I was a bit sceptical due to the similarities i'd heard of...but i've got to admit, it is as good - if not in many ways - better.
Unlike a lot of series, episodes add up. Things that they may not explain in one episode are revisited later and you don't feel like it's sloppy writing.

i love how i met your mother. having being a mad friends fan for the pat 4 years i wasnt overly keen on seeing this (due to the simularity i was expecting a copy) but after kinda getting bored of friends i gave this a go and must say its better. the charactors are so intriging and funny it makes you want to watch another episode as soon as youve seen the last. and its something completly new, i love story in reverse, briliantly though out and superbly funny. 5/5

This show was tipped to be the new 'Friends' but i disagree, it is nothing like friends. It is however a hilarious comedy with an amazing set of characters. One that must be watched. Watch one episode and you will be hooked.

some people have made up there mind that this is a cheap knock off of "Friends" (even E4) but it's soooo much more than that

If you're a big fan of comedy, this show is a must have. Everything about this show is brilliant. It has all the elements of a good comedy serie: comedy (du-uh xD), drama, love story, awesome actors and overall a good storyline. Some people may disagree, but just give it a chance and i promise you won't regret it.

This show in my opinion leaves friends trailing behind. i know a lot of people will disagree but i feel how i met your mother has taken the best thing about friends, the ability to make you laugh and cry in the same episode, and just beat them at it. the cast is a delight to watch and the writers really drag you into the story. Neil Patrick Harris is brilliant, dynamic and incredibly funny, but he does not shadow the rest of the group, that is what i love about this show, there is not a weak link. Yeah i know, im a HIMYM geek XD

I absolutely love this show!!! The only reason I have only given it 4 stars is because, for me, nothing will ever replace Friends. However, this sitcom is a very close second to it. There is something to each and every character I simply adore!!!! I love the catchphrases that get stuck in your head and, I dont know about anyone else, but I find myself using them in everyday conversations! lol :P the amazingness that is Barney Stinson is the inventor of these phrases; for example "legen....wait-for-it!.....dary!!" and "SUIT UP!!" and "haaaaaave you met ted?!". All the episodes are brilliant. I reckon my favourite episode from season 1 is the limo, and I even made my own Get Pysched mix for me and a friend :) I love Lily and Marshall's relationship, they are so sweet, and hopeless romantic Ted is irresistable. Robin is so funny too and really sweet :) This is a brilliant programme and I absolutely love it. If you want sweet, light hearted comedy then this is for you. I have season 1 and 2, and cant wait to get season 3, 4 and 5 :D

Well i was doing my research on what to watch next in comedy, and I found this. I found this a slow starter but by the end youll be hooked. Great depth in the characters. Ive already ordered the 2nd season. If you like a 20mins of light comedy entertainment then order this now.

This is one of my favourite comedies on TV at the moment, I love it. It is funny, brilliantly written and the actors play their characters really well. I love all of the cast and their characters, but I think Alyson Hannigan and Jason Segal are the best characters on the show. I love the catchphrases such as Legen-wait for it-dary and the immortal suit up. This is the best American sitcom since Friends!

How I met your mother is brilliant. So funny and simple at the same time. Totally a must to get. And the extra features at the end are brilliant too. I love the gag reel. It's just brilliant. And the price here on play.com is fantastic. GET IT! You know you want to.
