Had my doubts about Children of men,"im not a huge fan of Clive owen and even thou it got good reviews"i wasent sure about the clips id seen.To my suprise i found it to be extremely enjoyable, its a straight up Dark Forward moving Thriller/Drama with some supurbly executed Action scenes,i especially liked the Farmyard donhill Car wont start chase and the final scenes had a touch of Kubrick about them.I Changed my mind about Clive owen with this one too"he,s a good movie star.It was also good to see Sir Michael caine popping up in a good supporting role as an old Hippie.Good film Children of men"id recommend it,its got a nice price too.

Lordie, this film, so dark in places, so intense in others with the odd pinch of some nice parts.......mainly the delish Clive Owen! but what a story, it really is scary in a way and really does make u think what it would be like if this story were real, all the secrets! Where would we be without kids! and those 5 or so minutes of steady cam shots, blimey, I mean....blimey, following Clive around and at one point fake blood actually splattered on the lens, I dunno if that was supposed to happen but it certainly had shock factor! and couldnt more of the characters survive.....so gloomy, but then again, I guess thats the effect they wanted! I can only give it 3 stars personally, as it is just too depressing in places! Great plot though, watch if u would like to see something a bit different and gripping!

Really thought provoking as to what would happen if no children were born. Did really well at portraying an image of London in these circumstances. Generally an ok film. Enjoyed this the first time I watched it but once I watched it again it did loose a lot of it's appeal.

Children of Men is one of the best films ever made, the 5-6 minute shots are excellently done and the story is so original and interesting, the script is equally as brilliant 'Its strange, what happens in a world without childrens voices.' Overall, a must see film, i cant wait to add this title to my collection.

Customer rating: 2 out of 5 stars The most depressing film I've ever seen

A very bleak outlook on life set in the future, Children of Men seems to be trying to make the human race look as bad as possible. London is bleak and full of refugees and a baby hasn't been born in 18 years. Isn't this film going to be funny! It is, in fact, a boring, prolonged drip scattered with famous faces and swearing. There is an entertaining shoot out right at the end which rescues this a further star but, really, it doesn't make up for one and a half hours of rubbish

My favorite film of 2006 and maybe overall.
Everyone worked so hard on this film & created a magnificent film.
Alfonso Cuaron done so well with his long takes which worked so well it was almost like a documentary of the future.
Their was another film that tried the long takes and it really did not work, i cannot remember the film because it was that crap I fell a sleep, but no one tried long takes after that, but Alfonso Cuaron braved it and pulled it off with style, an incredible film, but rather worrying that this film could become true.

Probably one of the best "future" films of recent times. Even though the premise of the film is there are no more babies it does not try to explain why. It just is. This film follows a disillusioned Clive Owen on a journey of self discovery. Well filmed, excellent camera work and an engrossing story helped this film into my all time top ten.

I dont see any point to this film wat so ever. From start to end i was shaking my head in dissapointment. The story is depressing to say the least with no life in it whatsoever (ignore the irony!)
