Ben Healy (John Ritter) adopts Junior (Michael Oliver), a kid who's so bad that even the nuns want to kick him out of the orphanage, in this hilarious, heart-warming family comedy.
When Ben and his infertile wife, Flo (Amy Yasbeck), want a child right away, Mr. Peabody (Gilbert Gottfried) cons them into taking little Junior, but they have no idea what they're getting into! Before you can say "bad seed," Junior is setting his room on fire, tormenting the cat, and jeopardizing the mayoral campaign of Ben's father, sporting goods king Big Ben (Jack Warden). But both Junior and his new father will learn what it really means to be a family in this comedy smash hit!

This is and always has been my favourite film. from a child i loved it. its hilarious and a perfect family film. i made my son watch it as soon as he was old enough to understand i still watch it again and again it never bores me!

Talk about under-rated.
This is one of the BEST family aimed comedies every produced. It really does sit along side films like "The Goonies" etc but doesn't seem to get much recognition.
I don't think the plot or the direction is particularly groundbreaking, but its the performances that most certainly make this film stand out. As a child I always loved junior and couldn't wait for him to come back on screen whilst the adult actors did their scenes.....now that I'm older its the adult scenes I cant wait for....this movie really does work on both levels, for adults and for the kids.
A comedy classic and I think you'll enjoy it, trust me, it's worth a watch and John Ritter's finest character!
Best moment: Big Ben Healy has a cat thrown on his face! Just begs to be replayed again and again!
