Well, I presume thay have tried to revive Yes Minister. But can't beat the classics (Yes Minister and Yes Prime Minister). There was also a hint of direction copied from the series "Office". I presume it might be close representation of Modern British Politics in a very shrude form.

An off t'hook series with British classic comedy on top of the pops form!
Check out the snarling, gnarling Scots Spin Doctor - a personal favourite! Absolutely Tremendous!
When can we have the 2nd series on DVD please?!

Superb political comedy about "Social Affairs" Secretary Hugh Abbott and his team of advisors, and their daily battle to stay on the right side of the terrifying Malcolm Tucker, the PM's policy enforcer. It's extremely funny while being cut-throat sharp, brilliantly scripted but with the added edge of being part-improvised, and features top-notch performances of completely believable characters. Hugh is at sea and put-upon enough to be funny without being a bumbling caricature (you really feel his tiredness and desperation), while Tucker is one of comedy's great creations - a lot to do with Peter Capaldi's spot-on performance.
Of the various other memorable characters, Tucker's second-in-command Jamie is possibly even more of a psycho, while hilarious "blue-skies advisor" Julius Nicholson is the fussy embodiment of the interfering nit-picking but dangerous irritant.
I'm not exaggerating when I say that The Thick of It is one of the best British comedies ever. And it has the BEST swearing you'll hear.

The best British sitcom for years. Pusillanimous minister Hugh Abbot lives in fear of psychotic spin doctor Malcolm Tucker whose swearing would make Scarface blush. Peter Capaldi is superb as Tucker. Of course the characters bear no resemblance whatsoever to any real politicians
