This is a great film. makes you wonder what may be in store for us in the future,only time will tell. Its set in the cold war time of 1986 where Preston (Michael Cain) has to race against time to stop a soviet agent (Pierce Brosnan)from setting a nuke off in the uk. Edge of the seat stuff and great acting ,even from Michael Caine. Thank goodness for our security services... keep up the good work lads....
The subject matter may be a lttle dated 20 years later but this is an excellent film, from the book. Not many films go from book to film as good. I think the author Frederick Forsyth had a lot to do with the making of the film, so perhaps that`s the reason why. Michael Caine and Pierce Brosnan are perfect as the two main characters, and they only meet in the last 5 minutes of the film. Hope that hasn`t spoilt it! This edition features a really interesting commentary by Forsythe himself.
