The third Star Trek series is led by Benjamin Sisko, commander of the space station Deep Space Nine, who discovers the first known stable wormhole, a virtual shortcut through space that leads from the Alpha Quadrant to the Gamma Quadrant on the other side of the galaxy. The Gamma Quadrant is governed by the Dominion, a group led by the Changelings - an group of shapeshifters which counts DS9 crew member Odo (Rene Auberjonois) among its numbers. The Dominion has become a violent force in the galaxy, and Deep Space Nine and its crew has become the only home in upholding the way of life established by the Federation.

Brilliant series all round, the best Star Trek series of them all. For anyone interested in replacing seasons 1 - 4 that came in the old large cases, the ones that had a problem with the centre hole becoming damaged, DO NOT WORRY!
These sets are absolutely identical in every way right down to the menu images and structure, the only thing different are the images printed on the disks themselves, which is really no big deal.
For those looking to buy the whole series of this fantastic Star Trek franchise, this set is the one to go for, the price is stunning - I wish I had waited for them instead of spending a small fortune on the previous releases.

i loved this when i got it. i still do, it has some brilliant episodes well worth the money when its 30 quid in the shops. may i just say where was levar burton in this. ok. the good thing is more sisko and he got a hair cut. some brilliant stuff i reccomed it to all ds9 fans.
