Whoever wins...we lose.

It may be our planet, but it's their war! The deadliest creatures from the scariest sci-fi movies ever made face off for the first time on film beginning when the discovery of an ancient pyramid buried in Antarctica sends a team of scientists and adventurers to the frozen continent. There, they make an even more terrifying discovery: two unstoppable alien races engaged in the ultimate battle...

Do you people even read or follow the story behind or you just heard AvP wow Aliens and Predators let's go watch it. Then say how rubbish it is... I assume half of the people that left bad comments don't know or are not willing to read, go and look up some AvP books and comics then you will appreciate this film. Most local libraries should have them so it won't cost you a penny to read them.

The woman had to stay alive as she is a main character in the comics, she is accepted by the Predators as one of theirs hence the mark on her cheek, in the comics you read about her struggle to fit in once she goes with the Predators and how she has to train 10 times more because her body is not build for the punishment the Predators take. In the comics you see teams of Predators that go in on planets that have been overrun by 10000's of Aliens to help eradicate them. You might wanna check out the video games also to get some ideas.

Please if you are ignorant and don't know any back story don't comment.

My question is what does the The Definitive Edition actually have different then Standard edition:):) something that no one bothered to mention.

Great Fun And A Modern Classic

Stop Moaning its not good enough this film will be a classic because anything to do with the Alien and Predator Legacy is Great end of

 What the heck just happened?

What in the name of the freakin' lord is happening to the world of never ending sequels? Paul W. S. Anderson normally delivers 100% percent, but this time it is just too much (or perhaps the opposite: nothing at all!).

The film lacks suspense, creepiness, excitement, story and BLOOD! Almost not a single drop of blood in an 'Alien' AND 'Predator' movie?

AND TAKE THIS NOTE: Just because this is an "Extended Edition", it doesn't make it bloodier, cooler og more action filled. Actually, the extention is only a couple of minutes. Skip it...

Something is rotten in the city of Hollywood!

 DUMB FUN !

This Definitive version of AVP is actually better than the first released version. It has about 10 minutes worth of added scenes, and these do tend to add to the poorly fleshed out characters, and also a few extra spooky scenes, the main being in the sacrifice chamber. Don't get me wrong there is still allot wrong with the film, and to compare it to the original Alien movies would be wrong as it's not in the same class. This from the start is more a Predator movie, but with allot of the gore and violence toned down. as I said the characters in both versions of this film a poorly written. But this is a no brain popcorn movie and all it wants to do is get down to the action. Even the gestation period of the Alien is cut back to about 5 minutes ( very frustrating ) But when the Smack downs arrive the film rearly does stand it's ground. This is dumb fun at it's finest. So Don't go looking for intelligent plotting, or brilliant sustained terror of Alien. Just go for balls out Alien and Predator war. A Whole lot of stupid dumb fun, best watch with a six pack of beer !
