A fast-paced sketch show performed by an energetic young team with much potential. The sketches were dark and zany, the preferred style of the times, and covered traditional themes (James Bond spoofs, paranoia) as well as contemporary subjects (satirising BBC satellite channels and youth programming), all to varying degrees of success. One memorable recurring sketch featured two young TV executives pitching ridiculous ideas for shows (extreme variations and hybrids of existing series) to a commissioning editor intent only on accepting productions featuring the presenter Alan Titchmarsh. Another regular spot, Outdoor Wee, featured celebrities who were interviewed while urinating alfresco.

I watched this series when it originally aired on terestrial TV and remembered liking it so when I saw this was coming out on dvd I immediately pre-ordered it.
However on receiving the dvd and re-watching it I was left very disappointed, whilst some sketch characters work well the vast majority are poor and get boring very quickly. Other characters start out well but just get run into the ground by using pretty much the same premise every sketch they are in till it's no longer funny.
There are some saving graces, the computer tech support guy is hilarious as is the guy wanting to kill his wife. Sadly these classic sketches are few and far between with the vast majority of them missing the funny bone entirely.
If you want experimental comedy sketch shows done well buy Big Train instead.
