A true story of extraordinary friendship.
Kyle Graham is scared. Not of monsters under the bed like any average six year old, but of just about everything - normal, everyday activities prove terrifying to him. Kyle is a child with severe autism.
His mother's (Keeley Hawes) fierce determination to break into Kyle's world at any cost has placed an intolerable strain on her marriage. Her husband Rob (Ben Miles), although equally devoted to his son, is frustrated by Nicola's relentless challenging of Kyle's condition.
Into this setting of seemingly insurmountable conflict comes Thomas, a golden retriever puppy. Can Thomas break into Kyle's world where everyone else has failed?
Gritty and real, funny and heart-warming, After Thomas is an uplifting and moving true story.

A beautiful film and book! saw and read both
What determination and strenght in the family!
They are an example to all institutions that are trying daily to apply all sort of guidelines and ideas to the care of a person, failing to reconnize that the only key to communicate, or improving their lives, is constant and unconditionate LOVE,together with research and the will of never give up.
This family is an inspiration to my work!
Fantastic!
