for a low budget, british comedy this movie isnt too bad. Infact its great especially with carmen electra & that one out of eastenders in the movie. the acting could have been better but overall there are plenty of funny scenes to keep you entertained. bit similar to the girl next door but still wort buying for a fiver

I was very pleasantly surprised by this film. It's a sweet story with very likeable characters (and a brilliantly slimy villain) and some good humour. There are plenty of film and director references that film buffs (like me) will appreciate, and some good characters too. There's next to no nudity however and (apart from a couple of shots) it's relatively clean, considering the subject matter. However, since it's very low-budget, there are times when the editing, acting is a bit rusty, but the charm of the likeable cast see it through.

I must admit I rented this soley because Carmen Electra (goddess) is in it, but I found myself more attracted to Michelle Ryan - as a non-Easterders watcher I was rather taken aback by her beauty and charm. If you fancy a charming, low-budget Brit-com, then I reccomend getting this - you can't go far wrong at £5.99! (although given the subject matter, maybe this is one to rent first)

A box office turd on release with the reviews to match I Want Candy takes a dumb yet definitly fun idea and turns it into a largely laugh free experience. Basically a group of aspiring filmmakers are roped into doing a porno with the biggest adult entertainer on earth played by Carmen Electra. The setting is there parents home which of course is funny in itself. The problem is the film rarely goes much beyond it.
The cast are likeable even Electra manages to be sort of charming and there are at least two decent cameos from the like of Jimmy Carr and Mackenzie Crook but the script is just a bit rubbish. Stephen Surjik does his best bewhind the camera and it was clearly a whole heap of fun to make but I Waant Candy just never manages to bring up even a satisfactory amount of smiles. Buy a porno instead.....it's bound to be funnier.
