I watched this on sky and seen that it was a great film so got it for my daughter, and she loves it got great extras as well.

i absolultley love this film it's the best it enpowers big people to stand up for themselves and queen latifahs song i know where i've been is performed so beautifully i can sleep to her voice

I can only assume that thepathetically sad reviews stating tha this film is awful come from people with no sense of humour and a distinct lack of joy in their lives.

The music is brilliant, the dancing even better. There are some pretty fine acors lending their hand to this film, including quite a few cameos from the original John Water's version. I rarely if ever like remakes, Im of the 'if it aint broke dont fix it' school of thought, but this is one of the excpetions.

ll in all a great film, lots of laughs and, ok it didnt win any oscars, but it's just a great feelgood film. My teenage sons love it, which is quite an achievement as no-one is murdered and it isn't one of the Saw/Hostel/Zombie films they love so much.

Just buy it and see for yourself.

A fabulous family film with a fantastic cast. I sat down and watched this with the family, and we all thouroughly enjoyed it. Great tunes which can easliy get you up dancing! One of the best films to come out in a very long time, and one of those film that you can watch over and over again! Pure brill!

Hairspray is a great family movie! Great songs, great dancing and a great set of actors!!! John travolta is remarkable as edna and quite funny!!!! Amanda byrnes plays a really funny part and it really suits her! Zac efron is sexy, slick and cool as link larkin!
This really is just a feel good movie that will make u wanna sing and dance for at least 24 hrs after u watch it!!!!! the 2 disc dvd is brill becuase u get loads of extra features and behind the scenes of how th movie was made!!!!!

What is this person on?? This is a great musical! This is certainly a much better musical than mama mia!!!! This is such a underated movie. Please please please ignore dekions "you are the weakest link...goodbye" review.its colourful, funny, great dance routines, vibrant and good individual performances! The girl who plays the girl in the pigtails is so good with her facial expressions.
Eveyone looks like they had fun doing it!
5/5. Mama mia gets all the hype and is nowhere as good! This is what a musical should be all about. Reminds me of the same energy grease the film expressed at its release.

I saw this film for the first time at the cinema. When I came out I could not stop smiling and I was singing the songs for days. Since then I have watched atleast six more times and it just gets better and better.

The cast is absolutely fabulous and John Travolta is something else! The songs are cheesy in a good way and the dances are great to watch.

It is energetic and wacky, yet sometimes really moving. It also has that much needed touch of romance!!!

It is an absolutely wonderful film and I reccomend it to anyone looking for a good night in.

The story in this film is amazing, I know it comes from the old version but I think it is great.

The music in this film. Wow. It's good stuff. Good singing, good dancing, good tunes.

It is also quite a funny film it definetly has some great laughs in it.
The only thing about the film is that after watching it just a few times you get a bit bored.

But altogether I think it is a pretty good film!

I saw this originally at the cinema and within the first 30 secs of the film I was starry eyed and amazed.

This film has got to be the best film I have seen for a long time ! The songs ingenious, the acting amazing, the sets spectacular.

A brilliant cast I dont think I could have imagined any one else playing edna like Travolta HILARIOUS.

This film will get you dancing, singing and acting like a kid full of excitment, this is a feel good film I recomend getting the DVD and CD soudtrack both simply amazing.

Have watched this movie about 20 times in two weeks, my little'un loves it, with the bright colours and fun soundtrack, it keeps him quiet for ages (and he's only 1) plus dancing around the lounge to the songs gives us loads of exercise. a must have for anyone who loves musicals or has a child that loves to dance. definatly A stars all round performance's, song's everything just fantastic.
