but has a little too much focus on the Armada - could have focused on the many more things she was known for. It does remind you just how great a country England was and still is.
I liked it even though it is NOT true to history!

i thought it had something special, showimg another side of a queen that she is a woman like any other and needs love, friendship and the need for a child.
It show humanity and crossed the boundries of the percevied view of a queen. It was funny, witty and had a splash of tension during the spanish amarada. Cate blancett was AMAZING in this film and showed the courage and determination that queen elizabeth is known for.
Anyone with an admiration for the tudors will love this film, not always true to history though so be warned!
funny

This film is appalingly bad. historically inaccurate with some ridiculous scenes. If you watch it expecting it to be interesting or informative you will be highly disappointed. But the fact that it was so bad made it really funny. The king of spain and 'titanic' scene were my favourites!
