James Stewart stars with Farley Granger and John Dall in this highly charged 1948 Alfred Hitchcock thriller that has intrigued fans because of its chilling subject, based on a true story, and its unique 'unedited' cinematic style.
Granger and Dall are two friends who strangle a classmate for intellectual thrills and then proceed to invite his family and mutual friends for dinner - with the body stuffed inside the trunk they use for a buffet table. Their former teacher (Stewart) suspects wrongdoing. Before the night is over, he finds out how brutally his students have twisted his own academic theories.

Here is another of Hitchcocks brilliant movies.
Two men have thought carefully and planned what they think to be the perfect murder, in their own arrogance they hold a party on the same night as killing the man. They invite friends and family, including their old teacher who first gave them the idea of the perfect murder. They then put on an act through out the whole party but it all starts coming apart when guests star wondering where the missing guest is...
This is a great movie, its shot brilliant with long takes, there's hardly any cuts in this movie so its more like a theatre play than a film. Rope has great suspence with great style and acting, watch this movie.
