Michael Biehn, Ron Perlman and Eric Close continue the saga made famous by John Sturges' Classic 1960 film The Magnificent Seven in Season 1 of this action-packed television series.
Learning from each other and forming their own code of ethics, The Magnificent Seven vow to defeat the outlaws of the West and gain the respect of the common folk. The seven men include their embittered leader, a former gun-for-hire seeking redemption; a sharpshooter and bounty hunter; a former slave who becomes a healer; a young and cocky Eastern-bred idealist; a smooth-talking con-artist; a womanizing gunslinger; and a former priest turned eccentric prophet. With each episode, their legend grows through their heroic tales of friendship, loyalty and justice.

I have fallen in love with this series, very disapointed they only did 2 seasons there was so much scope to do a third and wonder why it was cut.
Like most people i adore the character Ezra, Buck and to a lesser extent Josiah. As someone who doesnt generally like westerns, i think it is actually the best TV show I've ever seen.
The magnificent seven...

The first season on DVD contains the pilot episode, and the first 8 episodes from the TV series.
Each episode is brilliant, with its own set of issues for the times and the characters individually. The series is serious and thought provoking but also charming and hilarious.
There's also a whole lot of love and action packed into this series too. The action scenes are intense and most of the loving is done by Buck. XD! He's the friendly womaniser. ;)
The character I like the most is Izra because he has the most charming character of them all and some awesome moments. He's the swindler.
The character with the most interesting story is Chris Larabee. Although in the story he is looking for someone, there are many other plots and characters to be thrilled by.
This series is one of my favourites. ^____^ I immensely enjoyed it. ;)
